BenTuin (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it and how we look after it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who we are

BenTuin is a landscaping and garden service based in Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape. The person responsible for your information is Ben Vorbeck, who you can reach at benvorbeck@gmail.com or 082 324 7730.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us:

• Quote requests: your name, phone number, email address, suburb or town, the service you are interested in and your message.
• Newsletter sign-ups: your email address.
• WhatsApp, phone calls and email: whatever you share with us when you contact us directly.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website.

Why we collect it

We use your information to reply to you, visit your property, prepare a quote, do the work you ask for, and, if you signed up, send you our newsletter. We do not sell, rent or trade your information.

Where it is stored

Quote requests and newsletter sign-ups are saved in a private Google Sheet and sent to Ben by email. Google stores this information securely on its servers, which may be outside South Africa. The website itself is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site running and secure.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and for record-keeping after that. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, and we will remove your email address.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you
• correct or update it
• delete it
• stop sending you the newsletter

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
